Slide notes: The runtime record comprises a set of values that may be accessed by the Tags to derive their own values. With Web Writer and iesMobile there is no option for a pre run Screen, but there is still a way to define the default values for the runtime record.

The Names are the standard Names we use for Periods, although these Names are not forced, and the Values are currently set for 'Current Period Settings' as we will see in a moment. Notice that the Field Numbers that are inserted are in sync with Period fields usually used on DOCWRITESPRE, as with Doc Writer as well.

For example, on the Income Statement, the User may have already selected a Period choice, and when the User drills from the Report through to some Accounts, then the Period settings may be inherited by the next Page so that they are the same as for the original Page.
