Slide notes: In this tutorial we learn how to control which FileNames may be subjected to the Periodic Update utility. The Periodic Update utility is found in Business Objects and may be used to manipulate, change and otherwise Update data on any File. The control in Systems Administration is provided to protect the system from unauthorized application of this Update Tool.

Slide notes: And here we can list 1 or more FileNames that may be targeted with the Periodic Update utility. When The Periodic Update utility is used, and the target File is not found here, then the operation is declined. Therefore, if sensitive updates are going to be performed, the appropriate Filename may be listed here and subsequently removed again after completion of the update, or in the case of 1 or more Filenames where we allow regular updates, we may permanently list the FileNames here.
