Slide 5

Slide notes: When an Authority Code is applied on a Journal, then the system will check the profile to see what is allowed or not allowed with this Authority Code. The Key is often a User Code, but in the case that the system settings determine it does not have to be, then it can also be something different. However, no Authority Code can be used in a Journal unless it is specified on this Register.

Slide 6

Slide notes: When Authority Codes are used as Memo Control flags only, then there is no need to define anything else on the Authority Code and it can simply be saved. Then again, depending on the Business Rules and the level to which we want to apply them, we can specify further parameters for each Authority Code.

Slide 7

Slide notes: The LIMIT ON JOURNALS can be used to specify the maximum amount used on a Journal with the Authority Code, i.e. on 1 Journal Line.

Slide 8

Slide notes: The LIMIT ON STOCK ISSUES can be used to indicate the maximum Stock Issue value allowed with this Authority Code on a Journal line.

Slide 9

Slide notes: And the Account Ranges are used to regulate which Account Numbers can be posted with this Authority Code, or not.

Slide 10

Slide notes: On the left we can list 1 or multiple ranges of allowed Account Number series.

Slide notes: In this example, the Authority Code will be allowed with an Account starting with "1", but disallowed for an Account starting with "2" because an Account starting with "2" is disallowed on the right even though included on the left.
