Slide notes: The Truck is a mobile Store. As such, it always has a Stock Content, even if the content is zero.

Slide 2

Slide notes: We can print the Truck Stock Balance report at any time.

Slide notes: A Null report like this, showing no Stock on the Truck, can be correct, and unless the Truck carries a permanent floating Stock for ad hoc Sales, the Report will be NULL before any Orders have been loaded for a new Dispatch, and also when all Deliveries are finished and the Cash Up has been performed. Unlike other Stores, the Stock Balance Report for the Truck will always only list entries for Stock when there is a current Balance for that Stock, i.e. not zero.

Slide 7

Slide notes: Now note that we have done 2 Stock Transfers already for 2 Orders on this Dispatch. Therefore, we may expect the Truck Stock Balance to show some entries.

Slide notes: Yes, and though we see only 1 Stock Item, it has a Quantity of 2. Obviously, in this example, it would mean that each of the 2 Orders already transferred to the Truck has a Quantity of 1 each for this Stock Item.

Slide 14

Slide notes: Now, we have performed some more Order Stock Transfers.

Slide notes: And the Truck Stock Balance report reflects accordingly. So we see that the Truck Stock report is a management tool and we can use it like that. When planning a new Dispatch, the Truck Stock must be either NULL or must be exactly equal to the Floating Stock it may carry.During the Delivery process, the Stock will include all the loaded Orders for delivery. At the end of the Delivery Dispatch and after Cash Up has been performed, then the Stock status should be the same again as at the beginning of a new Dispatch being planned.
