What is it?
Manufacture On Demand, or MOD as it is commonly referred to in IES Business, is a Business Module in IES Business, designed for the Manufacture Function set. The MOD Module is seamlessly integrated in real time to the General Ledger, Accounts Payable / Creditors, Accounts Receivable / Debtors, Inventory Management, Procurement, Job Costing, Cash Book, Customer Relationship Management and other IES Business Modules, and is fully multi Currency.
Introduction
Among the many Information, Management and Accounting functions used in diverse Business types, and found across many IES Business Modules, we find the MOD solution for Businesses that need to use some or many of the Manufacture functions. The term 'Manufacture', as a definition, is a fairly broad one and carries different meanings in different Businesses. In IES, it includes all Manufacture options excepting only the driving of any Manufacture hardware. In other words, IES does not pretend to perform the hardware functions that control Manufacture equipment, but performs all the Information, Management, Accounting and record keeping required for Manufacture.
Central to the IES Business philosophy, in all Modules, are the principles of Control (User Access and privileges, User auditing), avoidance of double handling of documents or information, system productivity (seamless operations of functions in ways that save time, and that bypasses forced steps that are not required in your Business), ease of access to Management Information, and User Friendliness in the way that the User interacts with the modern system interface(s).
In the context of understanding Manufacture as a process whereby selected Inputs are used to produce defined Output of Goods or Services, we note the capability in IES to manage all the steps along the way, and to serve both external (Commercial) Customers, as well as internal (Inventory, Ledger CC and Job Costing ) Customers, with notable ease of operation, and with all the management and control information and safeguards that you may require.
